Salisbury rolls over 2-A field with leading Rusher

Salisbury’s girls golf team has been number one in the state 2-A class since 2006. Now the Hornets finally get some official recognition for it.
A dominating performance at the NCHSAA’s first-ever 2-A/1-A tournament at Longleaf Golf and Country Club allowed Salisbury to outdistance the closest competition in the 13-team event by 33 shots. Freshman Isabella Rusher made it a Hornet sweep when she held off a couple of upperclassmen to claim the individual title.
