Gillespie Golf Course remains closed indefinitely after a tree fell on the clubhouse during a storm last week.
On Aug. 16, an employee with the City of Greensboro Parks & Recreations Department told Triad Golf that originally the city had hoped to reopen the week of Aug. 19, but nothing has been set. A large blue tarp is covering the area where the tree crashed down on the building housing the pro shop and snack bar.
The city said that when a reopening date is scheduled the announcement will be made on the city’s website. The course, which has nine greens and 18 sets of tees, is popular for its location and value.
