In the way the Vector Launch Monitor changed the way the golf industry had previously fit golf clubs, the new VectorX Launch System hopes to redefine how players practice. AccuSport of Winston-Salem just released its new “personal” VectorX Launch System.
Sales at the PGA show were brisk for the all-in-one system designed for both the golf professional and the avid golfer. The VectorX is a small portable device about the size of a cereal box. It includes a built-in screen along with the latest AccuSport technology to relay such items as launch angle, spin rate, side spin and yardages back to the player.
For golfers trying to work on a new shot or straighten a bad shot, the system records the statistics of every swing. The system can include an additional video camera as well as several software packages such as the VFit tracking club data; VTeach combining video swing analysis with ball performance; and VRange that depicts your real-time ball flight on a separate video screen or projector.
The VectorX is the official launch monitor of the AJGA. Models will be available for use at every AJGA event for players. The goal is to give players more feedback on their swings. The personal model will retail for $3,195. More information can be found at www.accusport.com.
