This time last year, GreAdd an Imageensboro National Golf Club, full of unrealized potential, would have enlisted anyone with a lawnmower to help maintain the grounds. This time last year, Andrew Kilpinen, full of unbridled enthusiasm, would have lived anywhere in the country with a golf course to try to make a living.

It was time for both of them to settle down together for a bit.

Kilpinen is part of a newly formed group of investors that pulled together to purchase the struggling course, located just north of the Rockingham County line near Greensboro. The course foreclosed last year.
