North Carolina won the ACC Men’s Championship over Florida State in Monday’s final round of match play at Charlotte Country Club.
The Tar Heels, ranked No. 4 in the nation in rankings released Monday, won three of four completed matches to clinch the title. They won the stroke-play portion on Sunday with a 10-under-par 842 total, six strokes better than Wake Forest, Georgia Tech and FSU.
Peter Fountain, Austin Greaser and David Ford won in the championship round. UNC, coached by Andrew DiBitetto, beat Wake Forest in the semifinals, and FSU advanced past Tech. Greaser won both his Monday matches.
